EXEMPTION FROM WAR SERVICE

POSITION OF STUDENTS (P.A.) AUCKLAND, December 10. To safeguard professions, the Armed Forces Appeal Court to-day was asked to exempt, from military service university students specialising in medicine. dentistry, engineering, physics, natural and applied science, agriculture, and architecture. The cases of four students were adjourned. The Court was advised that only students selected by the Defence Scientific Advisory Committee were proposed for exemption. Examination performances will be watched by a professional board to determine further exemption later,
