DECISIONS OF NO. 1 BOARD

The head of a shearing gang which had agreements to shear 100,000 sheep was appealed for yesterday at a sitting of the No. 1 Armed Forces Appeal Board. Mr E. A. Lee was presiding, and had with him Messrs G. M. Hall and J. E. The reservist’s name was Alexander William Garvic, and the appeal, lodged bv the Director of National Service and supported by a Primary Production Council was adjourned for review in March. NO. 2 APPEAL BOARD

Walter Henry Scott was ap pealed for at yesterdays sitting of the No 2 Armed Forces Appeal Board. Mr J S Barnett was in the chair. It was stated that the Sclwyn Coun jy ~c ° "t as l " ott essential public utilities, and that Scott was a member of the Defence Engineers Service Corps., and was also secretary oi the Selwyn Emergency Precautions Services. Postponement of service for three months was asked for to enable efforts to be made to replace Scott.
