RESCUED IN GREENLAND.—An R.A.F. Ferry Command crew engaged in flying United States bombers to Britain had a forced landing and was marooned for 45 days in a Greenland Eskimo hamlet. Eskimos came, to the rescue. The photograph shows a team of husky dogs helping the airmen to salvage equipment from the rapidly sinking Hudson. There were no other human beings within 500 miles of this spot.
