Calling Up Men From Dominions.— The politica: correspondent of the "Evening Standard” says that the Minister for National Service (Mr Ernest Bevin) will introduce a bill in the House of Commons proposing administrative changes in conscription and seeking to abolish the provision that men from the Dominions and other parts of the Empire must be domiciled in Britain for two years before they can be called up. The provision would mean a change in agreement with the Governments concerned, but whether the period of two years will be abolished or a new period fixed has not yet been decided.—London, December 1.
