CHRISTIAN ORDER CAMPAIGN

EXTENSION OF CHURCH INFLUENCE TO CAMPS

The intention to continue the Campaign for Christian Order, with Christian order weeks among the planned activities, was emphasised by the director (the Rev. F. H. Robertson) in a report to the Christchurch Presbytery yesterday. The campaign committee, he said, would also provide assistance for group study and discussion. In regard to the reconstitution of the youth committee, a strong youth committee would be established in Wellington to stimulate co-operative activity among church youth movements. It was also intended to concentrate on extending the influence of the church among men in military camps and the Maoris. Last year, he said, more than £9OOO had been raised towards the campaign, and further efforts were to be made to increase the funds in co-operation with the churches.
