REDUCED RATE S,OUGHT

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, December 2. The Wellington Chamber of Commerce has decided to ask tne Associated Chambers of Commerce immediately to approach the Government seeking a reduction in the present rate of 5s per cent, war damage charge levied on all fire insurance contracts. Mr R. H. Nimmo said that £1,555,000 had already been paid to the War Damage Fund, while the few claims had been relatively trifling in amount.
