CHRISTCHURCH EAST SEAT
NATIONAL PARTY’S CANDIDATE MU M. K. LYONS SELECTED Mr M. E. Lynns was selected as the National Parly candidate for Christchurch East, at a meeting of the electorate committee last evening. Mr K. I. Armour, who returned injured recently from the Middle East, was not a candidate for the selection ballot. Mr Armour is a captain (temporary) of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force and was not available for selection; ho was the party's candidate for Christchurch East at the last General Election. The nomination of Mr Lyons was unanimously adopted by the branch. The nomination will be referred to the divisional committee and
