Social Security Report.—The report by Sir William Beveridge on social insurance and allied services will be published on Wednesday. This important survey is the first authoritative and comprehensive plan for postwar social security.—B.O.W., Rugby, Nov. 28. Shot for Sabotage.—Belgian sources reveal that nine Belgians were shot at Liege for sabotage and the possessing of arms. The Berlin radio announced that 11 persons were executed in Serbia after being charged with preparing sabotage and supporting Communist guerrillas.—London. November 27. Use of Universities by Army.—The “New York World-Telegram” says the Government is planning to take over the nation’s leading colleges and universities for military training, thereby ending the studies of all students except those of 17 years of age or younger and those taking an advanced professional course or engineering.—New York, Nov. 28.
