FINE FOR DRUNKENNESS A 52-year-old miner, Timothy Brady, pleaded guilty to a charge of being found drunk in Manchester street on November 24, having been, twice previously convicted in, ,the. last six., months,, and .was fined 20?., ,ln default 48, hours’ imprisonment. s MAINTENANCE ARREARS Arrested on warrant last week for default of maintenance, being £169 in arrears up to October 27, Clarence Burnaby, a porter, aged 36, was convicted and discharged. Senior-Sergeant J. Blckerdike said that Burnaby had appeared before the Court on two occasions and had been remanded each time to enable inquiries to be made regarding his entry into the Army. The Army was prepared to take him into camp to-day. UNLICENSED RADIOS Owners of unlicensed radio sets were fined and ordered to pay costs as follows: —Joseph Albert Edmund Barkle, ss; George Blackwell, 17s 6d; Mamie Boland, ss; Elsie Boothroyd, ss; Leicester Heaton Brice, ss: Mavis Edna May Brlttenden, 10s; Lester Thomas Brown, costs only; John Fraser, 15s; Leonard Patterson, 10s; Herbert Peters, 15s; Eileen Imelda Wilson, 15s.
