SUGAR RATION
Sir,—We have been told that the sugar ration for October is to be reduced to lOoz a week, and that for November a further curtailment may be necessary. At the same time there has been no reduction in the supplies available for office staffs. If this extra ration is necess - ry for office staffs working from 8.30 a.m. to 5 p.m., is it not far more necessary to the farmer working from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. with no restaurant round the corner? Perhaps the District Rationing Officer could explain.—Yours, etc., TWO OF THE MUTTS.
