Bloxham, release recommended: Victor Albert Winter, baker, adjourned sine die; John Watllng, sheepfarmer, adjourned sine die; Trevor Lemuel Hawkes, company manager (Director of National Service), dismissed, reserv. Ist not to commence training before December 31; Leo Douglas Brightllng, toolmaker (Engineers, Ltd.), release from service recommended; Kenneth lan Mclntosh, carpenter, adjourned sine die: George Herbert Jack, cook, adjourned for review in December; William Henry Nicholls, solicitor, adjourned for medical reboarding; D’Arcy le Compte, treefeller, dismissed: Tom Gordon Prebbie, farmer, decision reserved; Sampson Downing, foreman clicker, release from Home Guard recommended until December 1; Leslie Regan Sisson, orchardist, dismissed: Richard Arthur Bruton, cleaner, adjourned sine die; Norman Blakeway, market gardener, adjourned for review in January; G. L. L. Griffiths, clicker, dismissed, with a recommendation that reservist be medically reboarded; Thomas Faulkner, adjourned, reservist to be reboarded; Frank Fletcher, chef (Storey’s Hotel), adjourned sine die; Harold Ernest Fenton, news agent, dismissed; George Edgar. Other Decisions Decisions in appeals against service in the armed forces were dealt with as follows; Ronald Gerald Downing, fitter (Andersons, Ltd.), decision reserved; Louis Pritchard, metal spinner (H. C. Urlwin, Ltd.), adjourned sine die; Ronald Edward G. Smith, tractor-mechanic (Massey Harris Co., Ltd.), adjourned sine die, reservist to do training in June, July and August: Claude H. Morgan, motor-body builder and farmer, decision reserved; Frank Adam Harris, carpenter (J. W. Harris), adjourned sine die: George William Wallis, accountant (Harper. Pascoe, Buchanan and Upham), adjourned sine die; Kenneth John Moyle Greer, woolbuyer (Miss M. Greer), adjourned sine die; Maxwell William Fry, factory worker (Duckworth, Turner, Ltd.), adjourned sine die, reservist to perform non-combatant duties; James McDougall, spray polisher (McDougall Bros.), decision reserved; Robert William Downie, milk vendor, decision reserved.
The following appeals held over from a previous sitting of the board were dealt with as follows:—Archibald William McCorkindale, Peter Harris, and George William Smith, adjourned sine die; William Edgar Arnold Rowe and Frank James Glanville, dismissed; Stanley George Mallord, dismissed, reservist not to be called before January 30; Maxwell Alfred George Lohrey, dismissed, reservist not to be called before December 31. Mr E. A. Lee presided, and with him were Mr J. E. Jones and Mr G. M, Hall. Dr. A. L. Haslam represented the Crown.
