PROBABLE LINEN FLAX ACREAGE
1912-43 SEASON The linen flax acreage at present in sight ior 1942-43 is 21,699, compared with 20,201 last year, according to a report obtained from the linen flax section of the Department of Industries and Commerce yesterday. The acreage (which is subject to alteration) was, it was stated, rather better distributed in accordance with factory capacities than last year’s. The Agriculture. Department had arranged for a large area which had already been sown in Blenheim (782 acres autumn-sowm), and Seddon (708 autumn-sown) in addition to the spring sowing, w r hich would be started next month.
