BOWLING CENTRE

ANNUAL MEETING HELD It was decided to transfer the sum of £2O to the National Savings account and to give the sum of £5 to the Mayoress’s Parcels Fund, at the annual reunion of the Christchurch Ladies' Bowling Centre held at Ballantynes tearooms recently. Mrs Thomas welcomed the guests and especially those from the new club at Rangiora, Trophies for the 1941-42 season were presented as follows:—Rowntree Cup. Woolston Club; Olympia Rose Bowl, Shirley Club (Mrs Harrold, skip)’ champion pair, Mrs Bexley and Mrs Sinclair. Officers were elected as follows: President, Mrs Thomas; vice-president, Mrs Wilding: past president, Mrs Britten; treasurer, Mrs Boon; honorary secretary, Mrs McDonald; match committee, Mesdames Britten, Brandon, and McDonald.
