ONE-ACT PLAYS

Jellicoe Hall was crowded last,night when the Canterbury Repertory Theatre Society presented three oneact plays of varying types. A great success Was scored by Mrs Florence Dalton, Miss Beryl Baggs, Mr Dundas Walker, and Mr Keith Thomson in a Lancashire play produced by Miss Ngaio Marsh. Mrs Dorothy Bashford produced an up-to-the-minute play in which she herself took part, and others in the cast were Miss Lesley Holt, Messrs Charles Hobbs, Roy Twyneham, Lester Johnston, and Keith Innes. Misses Ivy Jaine and Cecilia Taylor, Mrs Mavis Reesby, Messrs J. W. Groves, and L. J. Kincaid presented a pleasantly sophisticated comedy, produced by Mr and Mrs Guy Cotterill. Miss Marjorie Bassett directed the productions, and Mr C. A. Inglis was stage manager.
