* MINER KILLED BY FALL OF COAL (P.A.) INVERCARGILL, Sept. 14. George Wilson, a miner, married, aged 58, died in the Southland Public Hospital to-night as a result of injuries received when he was struck by a fall of coal in the Wairaki coal mine this morning. MAN FOUND DEAD (P.A.) INVERCARGILL, Sept. 14. William Peters, a retired hotelkeeper, aged about 65 years, was found hanging at his home this afternoon. Peters lived alone, and the discovery was iriade by a visitor. Peters was a widower. His wife died a few months ago.
