MODEL YACHTING
The Christchurch Model Yacht Club sailed the third club race of the season on Saturday at Victoria Lake. Fifteen boats sailed in a fresh north-easterly breeze. Following were the results:— First Heat.—E, Hodge’s Linnet (handicap 4min 20sec), 1; D. Johnson’s Alert (4min 50sec), 2; W. Beauchamp’s Avenger (4min), 3; R. Reid’s Banshee (2min lOsec), 4; G. Johnson’s Victory (4min lOsec), 5. Tip’e, 29min 25sec. Second ♦ -at.—J. Spencer’s Greta (2min 40sec), 1; Alert 2, Victory 3. Linnet 4, A. Smith’s Phyllis (smin 40sec) 5. Time, 28min 15sec. Final: Linnet and Alert, 10 points (equal) 1; Greta, 8 points, 3; Victory, 4 points, 4.
