CROSSCOUNTRY RUNNING

LADIES’ PIONEER CLUB Members of the Christchurch Ladies' Pioneer Club were the guests of Mrs A. J. Wicks, Opawa, on Saturday. The trail, which was laid by I. Brewster and P. Lee, led over a four-mile, course through the Opawa, St. Martins, and Rapaki districts. The results were;—M. Glading 1, B. Thomas 2, B. Bradley 3. The Lee trophy race, to have been run on Saturday, was postponed. It is to be held next week. PRESBYTERIAN-ROVER SCOUTS The Presbyterlan-Rover Scout harriers were the guests of Mr and Mrs Gordon at St. George's Presbyterian Church, Linwood. A team race over a circular course of three miles resulted:—Army (L. E. Fox, O. L. McMillan, R. M. McCausland, M. C. E. Spain), Ihr 4min 12sec, 1; Presbyterian Rover Scouts 2, Clarkson’s 3, Gibbs’s 4, Richards’s 5, Metropolitan 6.
