VOLUNTEERS FOR ARMY

NO RESTRICTIONS ON ENLISTMENT (PA.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 12. Volunteers for the Army, including Maoris and members of the Home Guard who volunteer for partial mobilisation, are now accepted without regard to the number of children they may have. All existing orders imposing restrictions and limitations in respect of the enlistment or employment of a man having more than the specified number of children have been cancelled, according to Army Headquarters administrative instructions which have just been issued. There is, however, no alteration in the existing the payment of dependants’ allowances, and such allowances are not to be payable for more than five dependent Children.
