EFFICIENCY OF FIRE SERVICES
* One of the first observations made by the organising committee of the E.P.S. in a study of Thursday's trial was that the fire services had done really good work. The chairman (Mr W. Machin) said yesterday that all the reports received so far showed that the unit had operated efficiently and had answered calls promptly. . Mr Machin said the. Emergency Fire Service, as well as the regular brigade, had turned out smartly on all occasions calling for it» employment.
