WOMEN’S CHRISTIAN TEMPERANCE UNION

* Miss C. Henderson presided at the fortnightly meeting of the Christchurch branch of the Women’s Christian Temperance Union. It was reported that gifts of children’s clothing to the Lady Galway Guild and literature for soldiers’ camps would be acceptable, and that light scarves had been sent to the National Patriotic Society. Mesdames Wood and Fraser were elected delegates to the district convention. The president read extracts from the World’s Bulletin Temperance News.
