RATE DEMAND AT GREYMOUTH
* The rate demands which have been sent out by the Greymouth Borough Council have been received with mixed feelings by ratepayers. Hie increase in the hospital levy and the adverse effect it would have on the rates was the subject of discussion at recent meetings of the Borough Council. Ratepayers in some cases have been surprised to find on receipt of their demands that the consolidated rate has increased by a greater amount than the hospital rat* <
