POINTS FROM OTHER LETTERS
Norton Wright recommends a brick heated in the oven and covered by a flannel bag as a substitute for a hot water bottle. “Before it is Too Late” draws an analogy between Israel of old and its English counterpart to-day. While Israel obeyed God’s laws they were always victorious in battle. “But remember there were no half measures,” writes the correspondent, and ■ all had to be in the running. Some Sundays back a few of us obeyed the King’s request and went to prayer for help in this crisis. We met others going to dog races. I feel we might as well be in the midst of heathen darkness and ignorance.”
