MAGISTRATE’S COURT

TUESDAY (Before Mr E. C. Levvey, S.M.) REMANDED A labourer, Wilfred Edward Harper, aged 56, who was charged with indecently assaulting a male on August 5, was remanded to appear on August 17. TRAFFIC CASES Finos for breaches of the traffic regulations were imposed as follows, payment of costs being ordered in eacli case:—No warrant of fitness; Clement Stokell, 20s; Laurie Edward Smith, 20s; Harry Cox, ss; Herbert Lister Wiggins, costs only. No driving licence: Leonard Stackhouse, ss; Claude W. Champion, costs only. For employing an unlicensed driver, Herbert F. Stevenson was ordered to pay costs only. For failing to dip the headlights ol his motor-lorry as required under the Emergency Lighting Regulations, Frank James Clothier .was fined 20s and ordered to pay costs On a charge of speeding, Edward William George Levvthwaite was fined 20s and ordered to pay costs. Alan F. Scolt was fined £2 and ordered to pay costs on a similar charge. Allan Rowe was convicted and discharged for cycling at night without a light. CIVIL CASES (Before Mr F. F. Reid, S.M.)
