♦ CANDIDATES RETURNED UNOPPOSED LONDON, .August 8. First Class Stoker W. 3. Edwards, Royal Fleet Reserve, has been returned unopposed as Labour member of Parliament, succeeding Mr J. M. Hall (Labour). Alderman T. J. Brooks (Labour) has been returned unopposed as a member of Parliament for the Rothwell division, Yorkshire, filling the vacancy caused .by the death of Mr W. Lunn (Labour).
