ARMY SIGNALLER KILLED IN COLLISION (P.A.) AUCKLAND, July 2. An Army signaller was killed this morning when the motor-cycle he was riding collided with an Army truck on the Warkworth-Kaipara Flats road. He was Signalman E. Dainty, whose parents live at Mount Eden. The truck was travelling from Kaipara and the motor-cycle was going in the opposite direction. Both approached a one-way bridge at the same time, and it is understood that the truck slowed down to allow the cyclist to pass over first. While crossing the bridge the cyclist lost his balance and collided with the truck.
