T.B, BATTALION SUGGESTED

Sir, —I am a consumptive, and, although I have comparatively little of the disease and have everv chance of living until a rir>e old age, I feel (as do hundreds of other "Bots" in Christchurch) that there is a chance that the disease might, in time, gain a hold which may prove fatal. I would welcome a chance to die for my country. My suggestion is this: that a force of troops be made up of men with tuberculosis., These men would make excellent first line troops. Put them.on our beaches, with a rifle, and they would kill until killed. They would not run away (what have they to run away for, anyway? and they would die happily if they could take a few of the yellow invaders with them. — Yours, etc., GIVE ME A GUN. March 15. 1942.
