R.S.A. MEETING AT TIMARU

A recommendation that soldiers returning from the present war should consult the secretary if they were m need of assistance in any way was adopted at a meeting of the executive of the South Canterbury Returned Services’ Association recently. Mr J. G. Duncan presided. The resignation of Mr B. Baxter, representative of 2nd N.Z.E.F. men, was received, and it was decided to fill the vacancy with another man who had served In the present war. Mr C. H. Coxhead reported that arrangements were in hand for holding Poppy Day on April 17.
