ST. JOHN AMBULANCE AT KAIKOURA

More than £2O, which included some generous gifts, had been realised at the stall held by the Kaikoura sub-centre of the St. John Ambulance Association, it was reported by the secretary, Mrs A. Boyd, at a meeting of the subcentre on Monday evening, at which Dr. R. L. Withers presided. Mrs F. S. H. Warner, superintendent of the Women’s Division, reported sufficient enrolments from the Women’s War Service Auxiliary for another first aid class to be formed. The purchase of fully-equipped firstaid kits was authorised. Mrs A. Boyd (secretary), Messrs C. G. Calvert (superintendent), and W. A. Stephens (secretax-y of the men’s division) were appointed trustees. Mrs F. S. H. Warner, superintendent, presided at the first meeting of the Kaikoura branch of the Women’s Division of the St. John Ambulance Association, at which a programme of work for the year was drawn up. Arrangements have been made for the Women’s Division to attend the lectures being given by Dr. R. L. Withers to the men’s division.
