SCHOOLS IN USE BY MILITARY
PERIOD OF POSSESSION NOT KNOWN At least two Christchurch primary schools near the coast are at present in use by the military authorities, and what the position will be early in February when the new term is scheduled to begin is not clear. Mr L. E. Rowley, secretary of the Canterbury Education Board, said yesterday that as far as he knew all schools would open the new term on February 3. However, he had received as yet no word of what would happen if the military were still in possession at that date,
