W.W.S.A. DISPLAY
Sir, —In a report in the columns of your paper of December 15 you give an account of a field day held at the Show Grounds on Saturday, December 13. It would appear from your report that all sections of the Women’s War Service Auxiliary had taken part, but that is incorrect. The whole display was given by members of the Transport Corps, who have been trained by the General Service Corps, which, though affiliated with the W.W.S.A., has been entirely responsible for the training of the girls, the arranging of the display and for all the work done in connexion with the field day. Yours, etc., CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE. December 15. 1941. [“The report appearing in ‘The Press’ was perfectly correct.” said the chairwoman of the District Committee of the Women’s War Service Auxiliary (Miss Mabel Howard), when asked to comment on the above letter.]
