COMPETITIONS ON SATURDAY The Rakaia Athletic and Cycling Club held its annual sports meeting at the Rakaia Domain on Saturday. The ground was in good order and the racing in both running and cycling produced some close and exciting finishes. The profits of the meeting will go to the Rakaia branch of the Red Cross Society. Mrs Moon (president of the Red Cross Society) thanked the committee for organising the meeting. Results were:— One Mile Cycling Handicap.—l. Burrows (120 yds) 1, A. Drake (170 yds) 2, D.
