LEASE-LEND AID TO BRITAIN
CONTRACTS LET IN AMERICA STEADY INCREASE IN FLOW OF SUPPLIES (Received November 24, 9 p.m.) WASHINGTON, November 23. .Mr Edward R. Stettinius (a member of the Priorities Board of the United States Office of Production Manage* ment) announced that contracts had been let for more than 75 per cent, of the lease-lend appropriation of seven billion dollars, and he indicated that one billion dollars’ worth of supplies had already been shipped to Britain and her allies. j He said that since the beginning of. the war total, exports to Britain amounted to 5,250,000,000 dollars, most of which were financed by the British with their own dollars. , Illustrating the 'steady increase
