SCOUTS’ HONOURS BOARD AT NEW BRIGHTON
The unveiling of an honours board in honour of members of the New Brighton -Boy Scout Troop who have gone on overseas service was held during the week-end. Mr S. Underhay (chairman) presided. Also present were County Commissioner F, Mclvor, Commissioners J. E. Stokes, C. R. Thomas, R. Sandford, P. A. ’ Hunter, and Mr J. G. Jennings (vice-president). After the inspection of the scouts a short service was held, the Rev. J. Farrar, the Rev. Allon Carr, and Captain Simpson taking part. The board was unveiled by Commissioner Mclvor. A general salute was taken, “Last Post” was sounded, and a laurel wreath laid.
