STAY-IN STRIKE IN AUSTRALIA
WORK AT COLLIERY HELD UP SYDNEY, November 22. About 120 men are taking part in a stay-in strike at the Wallarah colliery, Newcastle district. Provisions to last the men for 24 hours have already gone into the mine, and an organisation has been established to keep up supplies. The strike is being held as a protest against the operation of holiday penalty clauses in the coal-mining awards, by which the miners allege that they have been deprived of holiday pay. ..'
