The Christchurch Model Yacht Club sailed the finals of the qualifying heats for the club championship on Saturday at Victoria Lake. The wind -was light from the north-east. Following were the r6 |ection B—Second heat: W. C. Kingston’s Kawhai X, R. Reid’s Banshee 2, B, George’s Greta 3. W. A. Schenkels Unity 4; time, 33min 45sec. Final Heat: W. Beauchamp’s Avenger 1, Greta 2, Kawhai 3, J. Matthew’s Alpha 4; * time, 38mln 25 A—Final heat: J. Spencer’s Reveille 1, M. Spicers Defiance 2. E. Hodge s Kea 3, A. Smith's Phyllis and W. A. SchenkeTs Babe 4; time, 32min ssec. First two heats of the championship will be sailed next Saturday. The following boats have qualified—Reveille 21 points, Kea 14, Babe 7, Phyllis 6.
