METHODIST SUNDAY SCHOOL
ANNIVERSARY SERVICES AT RANGIORA The Rangiora Methodist Sunday School celebrated its sixty-sixth anniversary yesterday, when special services were held in the church. The preacher at the three services was the Rev. A. M. Costain, and the singing by the children’s choir was under the direction of Mr H. L. Dodge. Prizes were distributed at the afternoon service by Mr Costain, assisted by the superintendent, Mr J. N. Lewis. Those awarded prizes included Joyce Pearson and Basil Chambers (F. G. Robinson memorial prizes) in the intermediate grade, and Marie Fidler and Bruce Thwaites in the junior. Successful candidates in the Sunday School Union examinations, Basil Chambers, Joyce Pearson, and Dulcie Chambers, received diplomas.
