CONSCIENTIOUS OBJECTORS
BRITISH INTEREST IN N.Z. POLICY (8.0. W.) RUGBY, November 20. The Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Labour (Mr Ralph Assheton), answering a question in the House of Commons, said that the Minister for Labour had no official information on the regulations made by New Zealand to secure that conscientious objectors were not placed in a better financial position than members of the armed forces, but inquiries were being made. The adoption of a somewhat similar arrangement in Britain had been considered and the Minister had explained in an answer earlier in the year why he found it impracticable to -proceed with such an arrangement “
