DISPLAY OF WORK
A display of work was shown by members of the United Parents' 1 Kindergarten Club and held at the Sydenham Kindergarten recently. Miss R. Wilkie, director of Christchurch Kindergartens, opened the display* and introduced the new president, Mrs Growcott, who welcomed the visitors and thanked the judges and other helpers. Competitions resulted as follows:—Rose bowl for highest aggregate points: Woolston Kindergarten; trophy for highest number of entries: Woolston Kindergarten; plain sponge: Mrs Buckley (New Brighton) 1, Mrs Brook (New Brighton) 2, Mrs Thomas (Wool-, ston) 3; fancy sponge: Mrs Buckley (Nuffield) 1, Mrs Thomas (Woolston) 2, Mrs Thomas (Woolston) 3; health biscuits: Mrs R. Tracey (Nuffield) 1, Mrs Thomas (Woolston) 2, Mrs Austin (Linwood) 3; plain scones: Mrs K. le Cren (Richmond) 1, Mrs G. W.
