MR 'EDEN VISITS ARMY UNIT

(Received November 3, 7 p m.) , LONDON, November 2. The British Foreign Secretary (Mr R, A. Eden) and the United States Ambassador to Britain (Mr J. G. Winaht) visited'the’corps in which Mr Eden served during the last war, when he won the M.C. Mr Eden recognised among the officers and senior non-com-missioned officers, comrades who had served with him. ' Mr Winant met four young Americans from New York, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut States, and was delighted to learn that they had volunteered for service. Five had interrupted their studies at Harvard and Dartmouth, U.S.A., to train as officers. Now ranked as corporals, they will soon take up officers’ training courses.
