SPRING SUNDAY SERVICES

* ST. DAVID’S PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH A parade of youth organisations and the decoration of the church with flowers marked the celebration of Spring Sunday at St. David’s Presbyterian Church. The morning service was conducted by the Rev. N. R. Wood, of the Baptist Church, and the evening youth rally by the minister, the Rev. D. D. MacLachlan. A large gathering of youth was addressed in the afternoon by Miss- Gladys Riddle, of the Bible class movement. The yohng men and women of the Bible classes read the lessons and led the prayers at the evening service. The girl guides. Girls’ Life Brigade, Life Boys, ahd the Boys’ Brigade paraded at the evening service, accompanied by the band of St. David’s company. ~ , The choir provided suitable music under Mr J. Filer, and Mr S. O. Trower was the organist. The flowers were later sent to the Christchurch Public Hospital.
