Shortage of Domestic Labour
The Undersecretary of the Federal Department of Labour and Industrv (Mr Bellemore)

Young women in Australia, Mr; Bellemore added, disliked domestic work because of the long hours, and they preferred the conditions of factory employment, which enabled them to hgve their evening* free.
