APPOINTMENTS AND PROMOTIONS
Officers on Active Service (P.A.) WELLINGTON, June 26. ’ To-night’s Gazette contains notification of a number of appointments, promotions, and transfers of- officers on active service with the 2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Force overseas. The list includes:— Major T. H. E. Oakes, promoted lieutenantcolonel and appointed to command the 7th Anti-Tank Regiment, vice Lieutenant-Colonel G. S. J. Duff, who is appointed to command the Artillery 'Training Regiment. Major K. W. R. Glasgow has been promoted lieutenant-colonel and appointed to command the 14th Light AntiAircraft Regiment. Major W. H. Alexander is appointed assistant adjutant-general, 2nd Echelon. Major E. L. Button, New Zealand Medical Corps, is granted the temporary rank of lieu-tenant-colonel while holding the appointment of officer in charge of the surgical division,, No. 3 New Zealand General Hospital. . Major A. H. Andrews. New Zealand Ordnance Corps, is granted the temporary rank .of lieutenant-colonel while holding the appointment of assistant-director of ordnance services. Captain J. Vincent is promoted major, as is Captain R, L. C. Grant.
