ADVANCE IN DEMAND LIABILITIES STERLING EXCHANGE HIGHER The Reserve Bank of New Zealand re*: turn for the week ending June 23, 1941, shows that demand liabilities to the State, advanced during the period by £305,101, and to the banks by £439,788. Other lla-' blllties declined by £350,806. Sterjtng exChange showed a further improvement of £413,487. Advances to the Marketing Department -were slightly 'h(gher at £5,153,401. MINWG REPORTS Grey River.—The Grey River dredging return fof the week ended June 25 was 125 hours, 87,809 Cubic yards, 119J ounces. SYDNEY PRODUCE MARKETS (Received June 27, 12.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, June 26. The Sydney wheat market continues brisk. Silo grain is quoted at 3s lid J and bagged at 4s 3Jd. Other quotations: Flour, £l2 13s; bran and pollard, £6; potatoes, Tasmanian £8; onions, brown £l2 10s; maize, white 3s 9d, yellow 3s 7d.
