COMMUNITY SINGING FOR PATRIOTIC FUNDS

At a "meeting of the Master Butchers War Effort Committee last evening, it was decided to hold a weekly community sing each Tuesday evening, in the Civic Theatre, commencing on June 10. It was found impossible to commence sings before this date owing to the theatre being occupied, by the Competitions Society. The committee has set a high standard for the sings, which will be supported by leading artists, competitions, and novelty events. The total proceeds will be divided between the Navy League and the Next-of-kin Association. It was felt that community singing was desired and would receive the fullest support ,from the public.
