BRITAIN’S RUBBER IMPORTS
CONTROL BY MINISTRY OF SUPPLY (Received May 8, 1.45 a.m.) LONDON, May 7. The Ministry of Supply becomes the sole importer of rubber under an agreement with the London rubber market. The market will remain open with reduced powers to carry on distribution to consumers. There will be no interference with purchases or sales for delivery outside the United Kingdom. These bring in considerable dollar resources.
