A WAR STORY FOR PESSIMISTS
Sir, —May I pass on to . the small minority of pessimists the following story of the last war? During one of • the German raids on a coastal town a small evacuation took place. In the stream of people was a little family, with, loaded perambulator, etc. A policeman gave them a cheery word. To the small boy he said, “And Whats your , job, my little man?" The reply he received was, “Just to carry this bundle and not to cry.”—Yours, ntc., , /c THUMBS UP. April 30. 1941
