STAFF POSTS AT HIGH SCHOOLS
* APPOINTMENTS MADE BY COLLEGE COUNCIL The following temporary appointments were approved by the Canterbury University College Council at its meeting on Monday;— Mr K. R. Austin, to -the Christchurch Boys’ High School, in place of Mr J. L. Moffat, who is on military leave. Miss C. L. Thorn, to the Avonside Girls’ High School, for the first term of 1941. Miss M. Hunter, to the Avonside Girls' High School for February and March, 1941. Temporary appointments to the staff of the Christchurch West High School were approved as follows: Mrs S. Penney, to relieve Mr H. A. W. Gallagher, now in territorial camp; Mr G. S. Walter, to relieve Mr D. G. Grant; Mr D. Manson, relieving pending a permanent appointment of a master in mathematics and science; Mr E. J. Blackstock, relieving vacancy not filled last year. The resignation of Miss V., E. de Berry from the staff of the Christchurch Girls’ High School as from March 31, 1941, was accepted with regret. Mr A. C. Pitcaithly was appointed to a B grade position on the staff of the Christchurch West High School.
