RECORD JAVELIN THROW (mu ASSOCUTSOX TXLSOUK.) AUCKLAND. February 23. A New Zealand record and a performance that ranks second in the British Em* pire, was registered by Mary Mitchell, of Dargavllle, in the javelin throw at the Auckland women’s amateur athletic championships at Eden Park pri Saturday afternoon. Her distance was 125 feet 8 Inches. She is the holder of the New Zealand championship and record. In the 100 yards junior men’s championship, K. Macanemy equalled the Dominion record of 10 l-Ssec.
