CANTERBURY TOURNEY RESULTS OF YESTERDAY’S PLAY Play was continued yesterday in the Canterbury croquet tournament. The lawns were In good condition and play was of a very high standard. The finals of the handicap doubles were played, when Mrs J. Palmer and J. A. Brown (8J) beat Mrs Pepper (2J) and Mrs Kellaway (3). Open Championship—Mrs Lowery beat H. 'A. Penn. 26-24, 23-26, 26-10. Women’s Championship—First life: Miss Bell won by default from Mrs Clarke; Mrs Pepper beat Mrs Lee, 26-16, Mrs J. Palmer beat Mrs Penn 26-11, Miss McMillan beat Mrs Nicholls 26-16, Mrs Maddrcn beat Mrs Derrett 26-11. Second life: Mrs Maddren beat Mrs Kellaway 26-19, Mrs Nicholls beat Mrs Barnes 26-16, Mrs Harvey beat Miss Bell 26-19, Mrs Lowery beat Mrs Lee 26-16.
