Double sculls races In the head-of-the-river series were rowed on the Avon on Saturday afternoon. The weather was fine and some good performances were recorded. Results were:— Malden Doubles—Avon (E. Lindstrom and A, Young) beat Union A (A. Parlane and J. Bryson). Time, 2min 36 2-ssec. Union B (A. Graham and G, Clay) beat Canterbury A by default; Canterbury B (D. S. Hamilton and P. Collis) beat Union C (C. Bonny and J, McNamara). Time, 2min 57 4-ssec. Semi-final; Avon beat Union B, Time. 2min 43sec. Final; Avon beat Canterbury. Time. 2min 44sec. Youths—Canterbury (C. Hinton and J. Oliver) beat Union (H. Leigh ami R. Knox). Time. 2min 49 4-ssec. Avon (E Lindstrom and A. Young) beat SumnerRedcliffs (P. G. Roberts and K. Freeman). Time, 2min 44sec. Final: Avon beat Canterbury. Time, smln 44 4-ssec. Maiden Light-weights—Canterbury (C. Hinton and J. Oliver) beat Union (R. Bryson and J. Williams). Time, 2min 50sec Avon (O. Black and N. Eaton) a bye. Final: Avon beat Canterbury by three feet. Time, 2min '43 sec.

Seniors —Union (C. A. Cooper and R. Sutherland) beat Avon (F. Thompson and R. Lindsay). Time, 2min 29 2-ssec.

Juniors —Avon B (S. Kelman and J. Hampton) beat Canterbury (R. J. Hampton and J. Aspell), Avon A (A. Mahoney and R. Lindsay) beat Union A (R. Morris and L. Findlay). Union B (S. Sinclair and J. Cullen) a bye. Semi-final: Union B beat Avon B, who were disqualified. Final; Avon beat Union B by three-quarters of a length. Time. 2min 38sec.
